Family historians in the UK are not required to register under the the UK Data Protection Act 1998 according to advice we have received from the Office of the Information Commissioner. Despite this, the webmaster wishes to ensure that nothing on this site causes offence to any individual and requests that anyone objecting to any item on this site should contact him stating the nature of their complaint.
The webmaster acknowledges the copyright of the owners of data displayed on this website. Material from the GRO is published with kind permission of the Office of National Statistics [email dated 27.06.00] and is displayed free of charge. The webmaster and the Pomeroy Family Association are keen to respect the privacy of all individuals whether they are researching our name or bear it. We do not publish trees on this website, and transcript data published on the site is not linked to individuals or trees. We do try to help researchers; if you approach the PFA for help tracing your family tree we assume that you are happy for us to pass your contact details on to other researchers whom we think may be able to help you, unless you specifically request us not to.
