The PFA has organised two international weekend reunions, in 1997 and 2000, hosted in Berry Pomeroy in Devon. Tony Pomeroy at our first reunion in 1997, taken in the courtyard of Berry Pomeroy castleTony organised a fabulous weekend, including a dinner at The Royal Seven Stars Hotel in Totnes for 85. At the close of the reunion the Pomeroy Family Association was formally brought to life. Our last reunion took place over the midsummer weekend of 24th-25th June 2000.By 2000 our numbers had grown appreciably over 1997. We enjoyed a full programme of events including another dinner in The Royal Seven Stars Hotel in Totnes on the Saturday night, a family service in Berry Pomeroy church on Sunday morning, and — thanks to English Heritage — a performance of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in the gardens of Berry Pomeroy Castle later that evening given by the West Country Theatre Company . An extensive exhibition of family history research was on display in Berry Pomeroy's Village Hall throughout the weekend which helped many researchers to find and share information with newcomers. An exhibition was also on display inside Berry Pomeroy church where the vicar kindly allowed us room to lay out some lengthy family trees. Berry Pomeroy Castle, a ten-minute walk from the village, was open throughout the weekend and we were well fed in the adjacent tearoom. Future Events We are floating a proposal to host an international reunion at Berry Pomeroy in 2016, marking the 950th anniversary of the Norman Conquest. If you are
